because your character is what you really are,
while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

Weekly Coaching Quote

Posted by Barry Marenberg on July 26, 2011

You don’t have to be 100% to give 100%

This very appropriate quote comes from Peachy Kellmeyer, who was recently inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame.  Peachy was born with a club foot and proceed to play Div 1 tennis on the mens team!!

Thanks to my buddy Mark Scott for bringing this one to my attention.

Coaching Quotes

Posted by Barry Marenberg on July 8, 2011

At least once a week I come across a great quote by a coach the resonates with me.  Typically I then proceed to forget it.  I am going to start posting up these quotes here for all to read and ponder….

One that I came across this morning is from Pat Summit, the head women’s basketball coach at the University of Tennessee and one of the all-time winningest coaches in any sport:

‎”Teamwork allows common people to obtain uncommon results.”

So True!!
