Awesome Fall Lax Clinic in NJ on 9/18

Posted by Barry Marenberg on August 27, 2011

A very good client of mine is a sports agent who represents numerous professional lacrosse players.  We are offering an Offense/Defense lacrosse clinic on September 18 from 10am-1pm in Long Valley.  The clinic is geared to intermediate to advanced lacrosse players in grades 7-12 and will be limited in number to 50 registrants and is first-come first served.

The clinic will be run by top pro lacrosse players: Brendan Mundorf and John Lade.

Brendan Mundorf is a two-time All-American Attackman at UMBC, a 5-time Major League Lacrosse All-Star with the Denver Outlaws and a National Lacrosse League All-Star with the Philadelphia Wings.

John Lade (a graduate of Randolph H.S.) is a former All-American defenseman from Syracuse University and currently plays Major League Lacrosse for the Boston Cannons.  As a Senior at Syracuse, John won the William C. Schmeisser Award as the nation’s top Division 1 defenseman.

Details about the clinic and registration information can be found in the following link: Mundorf/Lade Lax Clinic

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.  Feel free to pass this e-mail along to other interested lacrosse players. Once again this clinic is limited to 50 players so once the limit is reached the clinic will close to any additional registrants.

Hope to see you there.

Full Force Lacrosse 7th/8th Grade Fall Team Tryouts

Posted by Barry Marenberg on August 25, 2011

Now that Summer is coming to an end, its time for Fall Lacrosse Season. As communicated  previously, Full Force Lacrosse will enter a combined 7th/8th grade team in the Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Fall Lacrosse League in Madison.

Our roster size will be limited so we will hold a tryout on Tuesday night (August 30th) starting at 7:30pm at the Snyder Avenue Turf Field in Berkeley Heights. The tryout evaluation will be presided over by an independent coach (or coaches) not affiliated with the team. This will allow for an impartial selection of the best players for the team. All players should arrive at the tryout 10-15 minutes early to dress, stretch, warm-up, etc. The tryout will commence promptly at 7:30pm and last about 2 hours. Players should bring all their equipment and water.

Good luck guys!

Full Force Fall Lacrosse – 7th/8th grade

Posted by Barry Marenberg on August 12, 2011

Received by email this week from the Chiefs Lacrosse Commissioner:

After the success of last winter’s Full Force Lacrosse winter clinic, Full Force Lacrosse will be fielding a 7th/8th grade team in the Fairleigh Dickinson Fall Lacrosse League which starts on September 11th. The FDU League is a competitive Fall lacrosse league which plays all games on Sunday afternoons for 8 weeks on the FDU campus in Madison, NJ. The game times change each week but are tentatively scheduled to be played between 1pm and 4pm.

The FDU league has a roster number limit so we will be holding tryouts on a date to be determined in late August. All players from last year’s ThunderStruck squad and all Chiefs players entering 7th and 8th grade this Fall are invited to try out. However, due to the times on Sundays at which the games will be played, we will fill our roster only with players who are not committed to playing football on Sundays. Further, while its too early to begin planning for the winter, it is possible that we will do another Winter Clinic or a Full Force Fall Lacrosse team (or two) will be entered to play in an indoor lacrosse league over the winter.

If your son will not be playing football in the Fall and is interested in trying out for the Full Force Lacrosse team, please respond to FullForceLax@gmail.com with an email expressing interest. You will then be provided with additional information and informed of the tryout date and once it is scheduled. We are excited about the expansion of Full Force Lacrosse and are looking forward to a great Fall lacrosse season.

HONOR THE GAME!
