Stats from Last 3 Games (Madison, Ridge & Westfield)

The 5th grade Chiefs were up and down this weekend.  On Saturday we had a big win in our rematch vs. Basking Ridge (score: 10-1).  We then played a very tough game against Madison Elite on Sunday and came up just short in a 3-2 loss.  The team fought hard from start to finish.

We are now moving into the last leg of our season with 3 games left – all against familiar foes (Scotch Plains-Fanwood, Millburn and Cranford).

Here are the stats from the past 3 games (Madison, Basking Ridge and Westfield):

(1) 5/23/10 vs. Madison (Chiefs lost 3-2)

 Scoring Percentage: 18% – 2 goals on 11 shots on goal. 

 – Goals: Goals were scored by: Duffy and Nieves

Assists: zero assists

Saves: Connor Morang made 5 saves and successfully cleared 2 of them.

Face-Offs: not recorded

Ground Balls: the team picked up 13 ground balls in the game. 

Penalties: we committed 3 penalties and served time for all of them.

(2) 5/22/10 vs. Basking Ridge (Chiefs won 10-1)

– Scoring Percentage: 31% – 10 goals on 32shots on goal. 

 – Goals: Goals were scored by: Castagna (5), Nieves (2), Reynolds (1), Barletta (1), Pasquariello (1).

Assists: Duffy assisted on 3 goals and Pasquariello on one.

Saves: Connor Morang made 5 saves and successfully cleared 3 of them.

Face-Offs: won 3 and lost 3.

Ground Balls: the team picked up 42 ground balls in the game. 

Penalties: we did not commit any penalties in this game.

(3) 5/20/10 vs. Westfield Elite (Chiefs lost 5-3)

Our “Official statistician” was not present at this game so only goals and assists were recorded.

Goals: Pope, Barletta, Castagna

Assists: Barletta and Castagna
