GAME 1 – CHIEFS DEFEATED ALLENTOWN 3-1

– Scoring Percentage: 21%

Goals: Goals were scored by: Castagna (2) and Nieves (1)

Assists: Haddad, Wong and Nieves had assists on the goals scored. 

Saves: Connor Morang had 8 saves against Allentown

Face-Offs: we were 50% on our face-offs in this game

Ground Balls: the team picked up 30 ground balls in the game.  

 GAME 2 – CHIEFS DEFEATED HOPEWELL 7-3

– Scoring Percentage: 33%

Goals: all seven goals were scored by different players in this game: Kingsley, Pope, Barletta, McCormick, Carney, Nieves and Castagna

Assists: Castagna (2), Nieves and Duffy 

Saves: Connor Morang had 4 saves against Hopewell.

Face-Offs: we won 7 of 10 face-offs in this game.   

Ground Balls: the team picked up 13 ground balls in the game.

 GAME 3 – CHIEFS TIED SPARTA 2-2

– Scoring Percentage: 18%.  2 goals on 11 shots.  Our shooters missed the cage a bunch of times. 

Goals:, Nieves and Castagna

Assists: Nieves (1) 

Saves: Connor Morang had 9 saves against Sparta.  Great job here in helping the Chiefs secure the tie!!

Face-Offs: we won 1 of 3 face-offs in this game.  This was a tough game!

Ground Balls: the team picked up 29 ground balls in the game.  

BRONZE MEDAL GAME – CHIEFS DEFEATED EAST BRUNSWICK Scor: 4-1

– Scoring Percentage: 21%.  4 goals on 19 shots. 

Goals:, Nieves, Castagna, Herrigel (first goal of season), Pasquariello (first lacrosse goal ever!)

Assists: Castagna (1) 

Saves: Connor Morang had 3 saves against East Brunswick.

 – Face-Offs: we won 2 of 5 face-offs in this game. 

Ground Balls: the team picked up 21 ground balls in the game.  

 CUMULATIVE SCORING STATS FOR TOURNAMENT

 – Scoring Percentage: 25%.  We scored a total of 16 goals through the Tournament on 65 shots on goal.

 – Assists: of the 16 goals scored in the Tournament, 9 were assisted.  Just more than 50%.  Not bad. 

 – Tournament High Scorers: Nine players on our team scored goals at the Tournament.  The highest scorer was Nicholas Castagna with 5 goals.  Eric Nieves was second with 4 goals.
